TECHNIQUES 5 & 6
Technique 5 introduces a "new" clay - Liquid Clay. There are a number of different brands on the market and this class will cover the differences and what this amazing application can achieve to give you a wider ranging repertoire when working with Polymer Clay.
Tech 6 is ALL ABOUT FINISHING! Finishing is the term given to the process of making your handmade polymer clay beads look as good as they possibly can. Most people think that finishing starts once the beads are baked - but it actually starts before that. This 3 hour class will teach you how to utilise good finishing techniques to get smooth, silky, glossy or perfectly textured beads with even and central holes.

TECHNIQUE CLASSES
Are designed to teach students a specific TECHNIQUE (or range of techniques) rather than a finished project. In TECHNIQUE classes, you may not leave with a completed piece of jewellery etc - but you will have added a new way of working to your polymer clay repetoire.
FOUNDATION BLOCKS TO SUCCESS WITH POLYMER CLAY SERIES
This range of classes has been designed for beginners. However, even those with more intermediate skills will pick up new and useful tips. Each module is a stand alone class and you can choose to complete one or all six.
These THREE HOUR classes will be run continuously throughout the year in sequence. The basics of conditioning and baking are covered in all classes to allow you to start with Technique 1, 2, 3 or 4 and then come back to Techniques that you may have missed.
TECHNIQUE 1. Conditioning, Reducing, Jelly Roll Cane
TECHNIQUE 2. How to use your Pasta Machine, Skinner Blend, Reducing, Bullseye Cane
TECHNIQUE 3. LOVE your extruder! How to use your Extruder effectively.
TECHNIQUE 4. Surface Embellishments- Texture, Inks, Powders & Paints, leaf and Foils.
TECHNIQUE 5. Liquid Clay - what is it, and how best to use this fabulous clay.
TECHNIQUE 6. Finishing - How to make your work "shine", correct use of sandpapers and buffers, gloss glazes and varnishes.
PROJECT BASED CLASSES
Project based classes are aimed either at ‘beginner, intermediate, master, all levels, or a combination of the above! If you are unsure which category you might fit into, please email me to discuss it further.
A Project Based class generally goes for the whole day (10am – 4pm). At the end of the day, you will have a finished (or almost finished) piece to take home with you.
